Spicy Kale Chips
Spring semester is quickly coming to a close down here in Bloomington, the IU Baseball team is playing, the Farmer's Market is in full-swing, and bikers are preparing for Little 500.
While I have not been able to go home as much as I would have liked to this semester, when I do I always end up making this Spicy Kale Chips Recipe. This is hands-down one of my favorite things to make. It's a really yummy snack for the upcoming summer time and a healthier alternative to potato chips.
Ingredients
- 1 Bunch of Kale
- 3 tbsp Tahini
- 6 tbsp Lemon juice (2 lemons)
- 1 tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
- Salt (to taste)
Directions
Wash the Kale
With scissors or a knife, remove the kale leaf from the center stem
Cut the kale into 3-4 inch pieces
In a bowl, combine the Tahini, Lemon Juice, and Red Pepper flakes
Add in the kale and mix
Transfer the items in the bowl onto a cooking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes on 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
