We survived Day one and woke up rather early in the morning. I spent the morning trying to establish some sort of morning routine which consisted of a walk around the block, daily journaling, and an online core power yoga session.

Ally, Grace, and I have started to settle into the basement (or as I like to call it: the isolation cabin). Later in the morning, our uncle came by to drop off food. He and our younger cousin brought groceries from three stores. Our personal favorites were the Japanese Texas-style toast, seaweed, and french bread. Grace also got some fresh mozzarella, pizza, and salami which she was very excited about.

The rest of the afternoon flew by as jet lag hit me harder than expected. When it came around for dinner time—we got a little ambitious with a multi-course Italian style dinner. We already had the french bread and wine so it was an easy reach. Grace took charge and showed us how to create homemade pasta while I made a kale vegan caesar salad (shout out to Emma for the best recipe suggestion).
